How to Display Videos of the Restoration on Your Blog

A few of the videos produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been released for free on Google Video.

Members of the church can now help spread the message of the Gospel by displaying watchable videos about the Restoration right on their own websites and in their blog posts. Anyone who visits your blog can learn more about the gospel simply by clicking on the play video button and it will play right there on your page.

Like this:

You can place the video on your blog in a few simple steps:

1. Go to the video on the Google Video website. I am aware of two official church videos that are currently available:
The Restoration (Subtitled, Español )
Special Witnesses of Christ (Subtitled, Español, Português, Deutsch )

2. On the right hand side of the video page, about half way down, you will see a button labeled: “Email—Blog—Post to MySpace”. Click it. Two links will appear immediately below the button: “Send Link” and “Embed HTML”. Click the Embed HTML link. A box will appear containing some HTML. Copy the contents of the box and paste the HTML into your blog post.

(Some blog software may restrict HTML code in your posts. In that case consult your software’s support website for details. WordPress )

  1. You can also click “More from this provider” and find several Book of Mormon seminary videos, including great ones like Spiritual Crocodiles and My Joy Is Full. There are also several Home Front commercials.

  2. This is wonderful. Thanks!

Thanks, this is a great tip. Hopefully we’ll see even more licensed (i.e. legal) LDS content available soon.
